Los Angeles’s MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) presents Rick Owens: Furniture, an exhibition of work by American fashion and furniture designer Rick Owens. The exhibition has opened its doors to the public and will be on view through April 2, 2017. If you are not in the Los Angeles area, Rick Owens: Furniture Hardcover book is on pre-order now.
Rick Owens: Furniture features recent furniture designs, an assortment of large-scale sculptures and videos by Owens, as well as select works by the late artist and musician Steven Parrino. According to Moca.org, the exhibit marks the artist’s foray into “brutal and elegant forms out of marble, alabaster, bronze, ox bone, leather, concrete and plywood”. The exhibit was organized in close collaboration with Owens wife and creative partner Michèle Lamy; the primary creative force and producer of the furniture line.
Rick Owens: Furniture is on view now through April 2, 2017.
